Several years ago Rusty Craine posted about using "his" fixed crawl for hunting. Every so often, he'd bring it up again, and again and.......

Several of us gave it a try--I'm still using a fixed crawl for my hunting bows.

Anyway... the past couple years posts and videos would pop up and the word began to really get out about "Rusty's" fixed crawl. Right now, there's three or four threads running on the LW and ArcheryTalk and several on TradGang.

I guess I just wanted to tip the ol' camo cap to Rusty. I'm convinced he's responsible for an untold amount of stickbow shooters improving their hunting accuracy.

btw... where is Rusty. I haven't seen him around for a while. I trust all is well with him.

Do you have a link to the thread?
Thx

while we are on the subject of fixed crawl and a couple podcasts as of late I heard some people have two fixed crawl knots. I typically run a 25 yard fixed crawl on my bows just because thats what I got used to when I started but those 10 yard and in shots really mess with me. does anyone here run two fixed crawls on their string?

For the past several years, I've set my crawl at 20 yards. That way the broadhead is always on the deers chest. At 10ish yards the broadhead is on the heart; at 25ish yards it's on the top of the lungs; mid-range dead center of the lungs. Deadly poison. :)
