He used to shoot in the 50’s, but when new Hoyt limbs gave him a FPS advantage, he lowered his draw weight to below 50.

Amazing shooting though. Mentally tough as nails.

I hunted with 80-90 pound bows most of my life, but perfect scores with a 47 pound bow that takes super strength. My heaviest target bow was 42 pounds and the best score i ever hit with that bow on the blue and white PAA target face was in the 280s for a single round. I did better with the mid 30 pull bows, but still no 300s.
