Grizz67,
I want to try the 1916 on a 37 lb draw compound. I have a 27 1/2 Draw length. Got any hints as to what length arrow, what grain broadhead and what length vane to use? I'm open for all suggestions. Thanks very much. God Bless. Bob
My wife shoots the jazz 1716s off an Elite ember 27 inch draw. It is pretty light, I've never scaled it, but maybe 30 lbs. When she asked me to set it up for her, I just took a turn at a time off limbs until she could pull it back level. I grabbed those arrows because I had them and they were purple....need to order more before they go away.

My first hunting bow as a kid was 26 inch draw, marked 40 lbs, and I shot 1916s off it bevause that it what I was told. They hit further left the further I got from the target (shooting with fingers). I know now, that means they were stiif, just held off back then.

If you are using a release and have it to centershot, no big deal. Cut them to length and shoot through paper, then modified french tune.

If you are going to hunt with it, I would use a 135 grain Zwickey, and 125 or 150 grain field points to practice.

Thanks for the info! I'm interested in all I can get. Thanks, too for the photos. God Bless. Bob

P.S. My Jazz arrows are all black. I got them from Lancaster Archery. Different run? Bob
New ones are black with press in nock. Up until recently, they were purple with swaged nocks. I still see the old ones listed on ebay from some sellers. If Jazz are available in your spine, I see no advantage in going up to the Platinum plus shafts. The swaged nocks are a pain, because shops don't have spares in stock anymore.

I didn't know that. Learn something new every day. I'm a senior citizen (old geezer) and still use swaged nocks in addition to press in nocks.. I still have raw swedged shafts in a couple of sizes that I use. Thank you. God Bless. Bob

If I find any of the purple 1816 shafts with swedged ends for sale I will purchase them. Thanks again. God Bless. Bob

Them OD green NASP 1820s are good if your draw isn too long
Grizz67,
Thank you but I think I'm good on arrows for now. Maybe some purple 1816's, but good on everything else. God Bless. Bob
They are dropping the camo hunter according to one major supplier. One supplier 3Rivers has the autumn orange from 1916 up and they are just as good an arrow and 20.00 less a dozen.
I want a 1816 arrow in autumn orange!

I called Easton and the gal in customer service stated she has heard nothing about this. Hard to say what is going on. I have plenty of aluminums but I am going to buy a bunch more. Hopefully this is all a bad rumor because I really like aluminum arrows.
Not true. Easton is doing away with a lot of Camo Hunter shafts. Check with Lancaster Archery. They have Camo Hunter shafts at close out prices. I was told 1816 Camo Hunters were discontinued too. XX78 shafts discontinued years ago. I'll go back to cedars before I shoot carbon.
