Recieved a Deer Seeker Outlander longbow today.
Haven't had a lot of time to shoot it yet but I think it's going to be a good hunting bow.
This is a newer line for Deer Seeker Co.
It comes in clear glass or black.
64". Mild reflex design. Mine is 45lbs @ 28".
Bamboo cores with Ebony Wood riser.
Archery is subjective to each individual's preference but this is my opinion of the bow.
Pulls very smooth. My draw with a longbow varies from 27 1/4 inches to 27 3/4. This particular bow draws very smooth. Haven't played much with the brave height but I've got it set at 7".
Upon release the bow is stable, for me. Mild hand shock but it's not harsh...hand shock can be subjective for each person.
Personally, I don't mind a little hand shock if there's not a lot going on in the limbs.
This bow, for me, is stable shooting. The hand shock is mild.
Workmanship looks good to me, the fade outs n laminations look good. It's not the finish of a $700 bow but I personally like plain Jane bows. The grip is a little blocky but I don't have any problem with it...it sort of keeps me from gripping it wrong, the way it's shaped.
I've shot bow for 48 years..haven't shot them all but I've shot and owned a lot of em.
Usually I end up passing a bow along but
I think I will be keeping this bow.
I haven't been able to take decent pics with any quality light but I will try and post some pics I took tonight.
