I was wondering how many, if any, of you are members of the CBA? Some research this Summer showed that there is NO chapter of the CBA in NJ. Is it worth persuing? Should there be a CAA, Christian Archers' Association, where the focus on hunting is removed, to open it to a wider 'demographic'?

CBA chapters are as diversified as the people in them. WE have been part of a chapter (Lord of the Harvest Archery Club) for about 13years now. We changed our name from Bowhunting to Archery 7-8 years ago so that we might attract the nonhunting archer and also because we were hoping to get tax exempt status & that was supposed to help us. (we never got the exemption). Our particular club has a very strong ministry emphasis so is not attractive to everyone. Others we know of are strictly used as a means for christians to get to gether & shoot. It can be whatever you want it to be. I would suggest you request and info packet. There is a lot of information on there. You can also check out our website www.lothac.com for more information.

Thank you so much for the reply. Your organization's website is clean and well done, with lots of good information. I may have to ask for coping permission on your FAQ at some point in the future. I certainly have to get a info / starter pack for more reading. I'm in Union County, NJ. There are no archery stores or ranges here~ish. The only place with archery stuff is a sports shop in another county, though it is nearby. I'm an NASP instructor and hoping that some energy can be brought to bare and grow the archery sports in this area. Thanks again.

Dave,

It was good to see you as well. Sorry I was not there when you left. I take any opportunity I can get to get out of the kitchen & into the woods. I fear they guys may someday be sorry they talked me into trying my hand at hunting....I really do enjoy it. Thank you for the note you left me. You made me smile. :)

We ended the week with 19 total deer taken, only 4 were does.

2 people prayed to receive Christ.

So I would say, all in all, it was a very successful week.

Hope you can come back next year.

Joy :)
