I received the Borders’ take on ASL and saying I am impressed is not accurate enough.
The bow is 66” #52@28”
The attention to details, the feel of the bow and the overall geometry is Perfect.
The bow has 1 1/16” backset but is obtained the same way my Jerry Hill has it: curved limbs. It has a very smooth draw and the handle has a flat belly that makes it very easy to get a repeatable hold. I've added a piece of Cordovan leather on the shelf and a piece of thin leather on the side and it was ready to shoot. I will not put a leather grip on it.
I have some woodies, Rose City Archery 60-65 that are perfect match for it. It is raining but I still shot it a couple of times and it throws the 624g arrows with authority. The so call shock is minimal - a well behaved ASL. Sound wise it’s whisper quiet with just a D97 string. Testing will come when the weather will allow.
