Anyone know of any good RH 19" or 21" ILF wood risers for $200 or less and where to purchase them.
Will mainly be for target and 3d shooting but would like to use it occasionaly for hunting.

I looked closely at this topic and finally decided against the White Feather Lark, choosing the Buck Trail Nobleton instead.

Very pleased with the outcome. Write up here:

I looked at a bunch of wood risers from cheap to expensive and finally decided that if I was going to jump on the ILF train and all that goes along with it, a metal riser was better suited. The ability to run center or past, springy rest, attachments, add weight, etc seemed to be the proper fit for metal risers.

Not trying to steer you away from wood, just throwing out a differing opinion.

Good luck!

Rob5589,

I agree with you, but some folks just prefer wood. Having said that, I recently bought this one and "so far" I have no issues or regrets. it's available in RH or LH:

If I were going to compete with one or shoot a wood riser a lot, I'd probably buy this one in the 21" model above all others:

I've looked at both of those and like the looks of them not sure which size i would need to run with ive got a 30" draw length. What weight limbs are you running on the 19" riser?
What is the finish like?
Width of the grip on the riser (medium hands or big hands)
Overall weight of the riser?
Sorry to hit you with the twenty questions routine but that one intrigued me.

Lonestarfly,

No problem at all here; glad to answer your questions.

1) I got this riser to play with and I'm shooting long limbs that are about 32#'s at my 29" draw length.
2) The finish on my riser is excellent.
3) I have a small hand and this grip is perfect. I would call in a medium grip.
4) The riser weighs 1 lb 14 oz.

I agree with Draven O. If I had a 30" draw length and was going to use the riser as my primary target/3D bow, I'd go with the 21" and long or even extra-long limbs. You could always get a set of shorter and heavier limbs to hunt with later.

Nobleton seems popular and is out of stock everywhere I look. Also checked shops in France. Maybe give Alternative a call and see when they have it back in. Sorry for the runaround.

I'd go for the Pat Norris. It's barely more expensive than the near-identical clone. Great having those bushings, which the clone doesn't have. Bear in mind on Pat's site they do not say where it's made. It may be that when you buy the 'copy' you're just getting the Norris from the factory direct, before they drop the bushings in.
