Yeah, I also have a 21" WNS Explore riser for the grandkids and, comparing the two risers side by side, they look almost identical, except for the sight/quiver holes, clicker extension, and extra plunger hole on the Explore. WNS cautions a 40# max on the Explore, whereas the Black Elk can be purchased with up to 65# limbs. I've read speculation that the BE may be forged versus cast for the Explore riser, but perhaps it's more about the Explore riser having less strength due to the location of the extra holes for the clicker extension and plunger? It's hard to understand why W&W doesn't drill and tap their hunting risers to mount a quiver (no provision for a quiver on the Black Wolf riser either), but it is what it is.
