Warfs rock
Its a great time until it starts cutting into my actual shooting and or hunting. Infuriating to me when I catch myself “waiting” for that new bow to go out and shoot. Or likewise to go hit the woods.Matt's my brother in the vein of try them all.
Yep, that's a good looking bow Draven. You're sure chalking up a list of lookers. Stoked my BB came in good nick and now just umming and ahhing as to which limbs I'll put on the thing.
Matt, I reckon it would be supreme to win a barebow comp with a warf. Perhaps not Life Goal grade, but sure would make a lot of people smile!
That BB was milled for ILF, right? I bought mine raw, then some plates off eBay.Remote, I've used the BB as barebow rig for field course at the club before I've got the FC-100. With a wraparound rest, Beiter plunger and Yost weight it was right around 5.5lbs. Long limbs on it for 66" AMO bow was perfect for me. I've shot it indoor too and first time I've got past 270/300 on blue face was with it. I was testing to see how much the cat whiskers were silencing the bow when I took the picture, and the bow was very quiet. I was losing ~6" at 50m - drop due to them though.

PS I've took the picture of the bow on the spot a black bear slept the night before. A Black Bear on a Black Bear spot.
I think Bob Gordon’s draw length was around 32”. He posted once that his competitive setup was a Rambo warf with longs, and his hunting rig was a Black Bear with mediums.
The Black Bear has similar limb pad angles and length to a DAS 21”(20.5”) riser. The Rambo has more relaxed limb pads with very low pre-load and is closer to a true 21” riser. Limbs make about the same weight on a Rambo warf at ~31” for me as they do on a 25” target riser.
After just a little shooting today. I really think I want to make some mediums work for the bb on my hunting bow. If Bob Gordon got away with it, I imagine I can.I think Bob Gordon’s draw length was around 32”. They get pretty stiff back there. Think I may give the Uukha another go being how soft they feel with longer limbs. Figure one way or the other I should build off of a bought new limb, so if I do rip em apart I have a potential warranty claim.I’ve been hunting for a cheap set of medium 34’s or 36’s for a little while myself for exactly the same reason.
Your Nika 36’s would be pretty badass. You should do that. I would.
Yessir, or thereabouts.Your AMO DL is still about 32" right Matt?
