With the availability of long target risers coupled with the increasing challenge of getting alignment correct as riser length grows plus compounds generally getting less deflexed and higher pocket angles (the opposite of what you want) I'm not sure whether looking for a longer Warf candidate makes sense.
What are you looking to achieve?

A bow to compete with is all. Went through all the fancy risers I could get hands on and kind of want to step outside of all that. Not super practical, just a want.

You have a long draw Matt, otherwise a whole around riser which will be perfect for hunting or field (stringwalking and indoor 20 yards) is the Black Bear. With long limbs on it this rig is the single bow I would need for a 28" DL. But we are not limited to "need", luckily. I have one made by LocDo still sitting around because I don't feel like losing a piece of history.

I think Bob Gordon’s draw length was around 32”. He posted once that his competitive setup was a Rambo warf with longs, and his hunting rig was a Black Bear with mediums.

The Black Bear has similar limb pad angles and length to a DAS 21”(20.5”) riser. The Rambo has more relaxed limb pads with very low pre-load and is closer to a true 21” riser. Limbs make about the same weight on a Rambo warf at ~31” for me as they do on a 25” target riser.

I think a Jennings Model T would work, and it would be at least 25 inches, if not a bit longer. I have one I'd liked warfed, but since Sam is no longer doing these, I'm not sure who could do it. BTW, mshockey has a very nice warfed Laser Magnum on the trading blanket. I'm trying to convince myself I need that bow.

My blackbear is going to be my hunting rig this year for sure. Just got to decide if Im willing to stress the crap outs mediums or just go with longs.
Think Im going to set my pro vantage up as my “barebow”.
May try piling a bunch of weight on the black bear too.

This is interesting. I set my bb up with some mediums a d it made me a bit nervous. Perfect size bow for packing around the woods. Ill get more serious about setting it up once the long limbs show up and I can do a little side by side.
Wouldnt hurt my feelings to find a rambo riser to mess with.

Thanks. An interesting fact: the limbs were miss-marked #[email protected]” on 25” riser but on my Tempest 25” they are #[email protected]” with tiller bolts in. On this BB with tiller bolts all in are #[email protected]”. I have them on the market, but this riser makes me to really think twice before letting them go. On Satori 19” they are #[email protected]”. It shows that limb pad angle plays a big role in the end weight on the fingers.

Yep, that's a good looking bow Draven. You're sure chalking up a list of lookers. Stoked my BB came in good nick and now just umming and ahhing as to which limbs I'll put on the thing.

Matt, I reckon it would be supreme to win a barebow comp with a warf. Perhaps not Life Goal grade, but sure would make a lot of people smile!

Thats the plan.
Im incredibly fickle on my likes and dislikes of the week. I get myself got up in the bow envy and think I need to put hands on em all. Best I can shoot, with the proper grip, I seem to shoot em all real similar. So I really wana put my gear nerding aside and see about focusing on the more important part of the whole situation.

Ill bet thats a rocket ship.
After form work all winter and some sore shoulders. I think Im done with anything above 50 lbs. Will make building an arrow a bit simpler too I hope.
