Not sure if there is already a thread out there but figured I would start one. Most of us are not doing this to survive which means we are doing it for the love.

My focus is not on the target.. it is inward. It is a meditation. I love the way it feels to draw back a traditional bow. Tension slowly building in my back as the weight increases until the transfer to hold when the weight shifts to my bones and I am completely relaxed and for those couple seconds there is nothing else in the world.

I love stalking close to animals. Even if I have no intention of shooting sometimes I will get as close as I can and for me it is just as exciting.

I love the people. Won't find a warmer or more generous group..

I love the artistry that goes into making quality traditional bows. Never get tired of looking at them; admiring the elegance of them.

I also love that when I put down the compound and told myself I wanted a challenge, the stick and string took me at my word. =)
