WA Barebow Weight, How Much?

Here is my take on weight for a barebow..... I use just enough to stop the bow from tipping back towards me through the shot execution. I guess I am too old a dog but I like my bow to followthrough tipping slightly forward to at least straight vertical. I have bow shoulder issues so I can't load one up with iron like when I was younger. Today I have to be wiser and play with the amount and position of the weights to just get my desired effect and not cause additional shoulder issue's.

If they were not so expensive and so large I would use that German barebow weight you can load with nickel plated shot to fine tune my bows balance position as it goes from 300g-600g in overall weight. Thing is a 2" in diameter it won't work on the lower mounting bushings if the limb bolt is above the riser.

Look at the winner of this year’s classic. He has a carbon fiber riser with 2 12oz weights on the back of the riser. Essentially a overall weight lower than most any of the barebow specific risers without weights. It is a balance and steadiness issue more than a certain amount of weight imo.
