Don't have any personal experience but Uukah's website suggests 7.79" for a 62" bow. The common 13% of bow length would suggest 8.06".

Just keep playing with it... you'll find the sweetspot.

 

Just tune to where it’s shooting the best and leave it. My yangis performed well at a lower brace but they were loud. And still loud at a higher brace height but not as bad

I don't think the length of the grooves should be a guide for anything.

I don't know why they've cut the grooves the way they did. Heck, I had a Bear Polar that didn't have any strings grooves at all.

 

Well I continue to learn things! I always figured the manufacturers knew what they were doing and put them there with purpose.

I shot them at a very low brace and they actually like it. It was the least buzzy.
I did not go up to 8 inches though. Maybe I should try it.

 

Test it, riser geometry has impact on bh

 

Manufacturer recommendation based on some unknown riser with x deflex and y limb pad angles. Your x and y are prob different. You could try starting at midpoint and progressivly untwisting until the bow starts to vibrate, then add back 2-3 twists.

 

I’ve always found string grooves to be a pretty good indicator of brace height on traditional one-piece recurves, but with ilf, and all the possible combinations all bets are off. As stated already, riser geometry plays a big role.

 

Those lmbs will tell you when they are in sweet spot. I dont have any that shoot in sweet spot under 8”.
