So I'm on a 'vintage' TV channel and looking for something to watch, and this shows up! I used to watch it as a kid, and I realize now that it may be why I've always had a soft spot for lever-action rifles.

Good writing and good cast.

And guest stars! In the first four episodes they've had young Dennis Hopper, Michael Landon and James Drury, all of whom had great careers later.

And in this episode Micah (who becomes Marshall) is stuffing slugs into a side x side coach gun. Stand by for the kaboom!

Edit - I just realized the other young guy in this episode is Warren Oates!

Trivia note - on April 10, Chuck Connors would have celebrated his 100th birthday.

One of only a dozen people to play in both major league baseball and basketball. (Also taught tank warfare at West Point.)
