So I just joined the Michigan Longbow association. Went to the spring shoot this weekend. Met a ton of good people. Shot some 3D . & dang it came home with a used ThunderStick. 64 amo 49 # . So far I’m shooting 28 inch GT400s . 250 at the tip. Maybe a little stiff , but seem to shoot. pretty good.

Those are good bows. Made right there in Charlotte, MI. Years ago I had a conversation with the bowyer who’s name escapes me about how he makes his bows. I had shot a friends Thunder Stick and was interested in buying one. We ended up talking more about Charlotte than about bows. See, my grandparents had a place not far away and I remember Mungers Hardware with his Bears in the window.

I’ve read nothing but good about them, it’s in really good shape with just one blemish on the upper limb. At 64 inches it’s super smooth. I got it for a real good price, plus met some real nice old timers that liked talking about longbows. So win win. & it was made in Michigan. About an hour from my house.
