I bought an Accutune, but I am going to use a springy on it. I bought two 20 oz and 25 oz springs. I am shooting 4 fletch at the moment.

If anyone is shooting 4 fletch how are you orienting the feathers when using a springy to prolong feather life?

Thanks

I'm using 4 three inch parabolic feathers spaced at 90 degrees. Straight clamp with a slight off set. I don't think I have any contact between feather a springy because there is no wear on the feathers.

I used the Springy to shoot 4 fletch Vanes and even 5 inch helical vanes with good success years ago. I liked 4 fletch with the nock giving an X orientation.

I got the springs so I will play with it today. The only time I used a springy was many years ago on a compound using vanes. I thought they were hard on the vanes, but my memory is bad so they may have been OK. First time using 4 fletch on them.

Thanks for the advice.

I just received two spring rests from Pat Norris.
I went with #30 springs as I had the opportunity to try some from a friend.
I ordered a 10 pack of springs as well.
I'm liking them.

Going to give it a try today. You shoot heavier than I do. I have a set of your Border Hex 6 I was shooting on a 21". If I shoot them again I will bump up the spring. They are 59# on a 21" at my draw.

I am shooting between 42 and 46. I picked up 2 20 oz and 2 25 oz. If I shoot the heavier limbs I would go heavier. I doubt I will unless I go for elk again.
