For the IBO RU class. I understand the 12" stabilizer rule. My question is: are additional weights allowed to be attached to the riser?

As I understand them, only internal weights that work with factory designed barebow risers made to accept internal weights.

Mitch is correct for NFAA Traditional. For IBO RU, external counterweights are allowed, but they cannot be longer than they are wide. There was a thread not long ago where an IBO board member clarified the rule.

I was wondering this myself...I'm also thinking about not running a stabilizer, just the internal weights, and a couple Barebow weights in the riser...I like the shot reaction, and the cleaner profile of the bow without the stabilizer...I'm not seeing much difference in my shooting, between using just the internal weights, and a short stabilizer...So many variables to experiment with.....Jim
