My serving is coming undone Im shooting so much. I need a good string maker who can make me a string for my Titan 3 with Long blackmax Limbs. Any recommendations from you guys? I need it to be low maintenance Some wax every now and then but can take a lot of shooting. Ive been using the Cheapo Western Strings. I want something better.

Also What should my Brace Height be? Anyone shoot this setup?

The Titan 3 is a 19 inch riser.

Thanks in advance.

A serving tool and some serving goes a long way to keeping your strings in shooting condition. It's not difficult or expensive and unlike building strings you don't need any sort of jig.

Get the DVD off 3 Rivers and serve your own.
You can change serving thickness for different sized nocks and change colours to suit yourself.

Even I can do it.

I use 3 Rivers Flemish twist strings as well, always good.

I've found Silent But Deadly (SBD) Strings to be well priced and quality, made to your spec colours and poundage http://www.sbdbowstrings.com/bowstrings.html

They specialise in "skinny" strings for max performance. The servings fits my GT nocks very well.

I normally get mine with the built in wool wraps for silencing. Only downside is that it takes 2-3 weeks. Personally I just don't have the time or inclination to make my own strings when there are real pros doing a great job at reasonable prices.

More time for practice :)

Making strings is not difficult, just intimidating the first time.

If you can find someone locally to sit down and make one while you watch it makes a huge difference in the learning curve.
Serving the string is really simple.

In my opinion, reserving a string, like fletching arrows, is a very simple skill that every archer would be best to learn. Material and servers are cheap, and there are several good online tutorials available. Trust me, it's a lot easier to do than most people think.

Far from the best at serving, in fact its probably funny to watch. However, a necessary skill, being able to serve on the go has saved my butt a few times now. Not being able to in the past almost cost me a National Tourney. Couldn't imagine not having the ability out hunting either.

It takes a little practice to make a nice round pretty string, but I bet the first one you make will shoot just fine. Plus, with just one( or 5 in my case lol) spool you can make lots of strings at a small cost all while knowing you are a little more self sufficient. Build a flemish string jig from measurements online..might cost you $5 total if you don't have what you need already.

Nope, totally different person.
Daryl Damron (trap) vs. Dayrl Merrill (D_Merrill)
Notice subtle difference in actual spelling of first names......

An endless loop string jig is simple to make and for what you'll spend on just a few strings you can buy enough materials to build a dozen. Once you've learned to center serve, it's not that big a leap to build a serviceable string. I learned to reserve out of necessity early on in my stick journey. Building the first string was a little bit of chore but definitely doable for a novice. I've got it down to about 30 minutes per string now and don't know why I didn't learn the skill sooner.

When you have to order and wait it keeps you off the range....
