I have a 1985 bear alaskan. What little info I have found out about it, the hardwood maple riser may have been designed by Bill Stewart. I was wondering if anyone out there have seen one converted or knows if this riser would be a good conversion. I will post pics. Any feedback would be appreciated. Im very new to the whole conversion art.

Thanks, Im pretty new to the forums...this is my first lol. I will try again. The riser has a hard plastic piece that separates the limb from riser. Even has a neat little bear scene in the woods on it.
As is, the limb angles are too steep to work well, but there is enough meat there to recut them if you're up to the task. You'll probably have to remove and reinstall the limb bolt inserts to the appropriate angle too.
OK,,for a better guess on the best pocket angle I need your draw length and the length of the riser.
Now to further establish if it a suitable riser, I need you to measure the length and look in the exact center of that measurement and insure the center in the pivot point of the grip. If it is not, and it is higher? Not a good one..
OK the angles are fine on it like it is,,tell me,,what is the distance from the limb bolt center down to the bottom edge of the pocket?
