I have a 1985 bear alaskan. What little info I have found out about it, the hardwood maple riser may have been designed by Bill Stewart. I was wondering if anyone out there have seen one converted or knows if this riser would be a good conversion. I will post pics. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, Im pretty new to the forums...this is my first lol. I will try again. The riser has a hard plastic piece that separates the limb from riser. Even has a neat little bear scene in the woods on it.

Thank you for the info. I will definitely see what I can do! I think this old girl would make a pretty recurve.
