I picked up 3 recurves from a estate this week, after close inspection 2 are bear grizzly's from the 60's the third wasn't recognizable. someone covered them in duck tape from tip to tip and many years later peeled it off. I am left with the dry duct tape residue. I tried many solutions wd40 ,goof off etc. , my best result was with pb blaster and my wifes credit card. now I can see I have a 45# Black Hawk Short Hornet. before I move on to the others does anyone have any better solutions that will not damage the ol bears. thank you very much.

I'd try vegetable oil first. It is unlikely to harm anything that solvents might. Kindly let us know what works for you. - lbg
