Jinks was drawing and firing two shots in 0.5 seconds.

This picture is 25 shots fired in 5 shots groups with holstered gun. S&W pro Series SSR. 7 yards. Average 4.6 seconds per string of five. Average time to first shot 0.4 seconds.

Nice! I have a Ruger Super Redhawk but CCW S&W M&P's semi autos from full size down to the Shield. I recently got an M&P clone airsoft pistol for drawing practice. I'm no where near .04 but I carry IWB.

Those little Taurus .44s are special little pocket cannons......Pun intended. I was surprised by the quality. Nicely answers the small bbl /big bore ratio doctrine of stopping power.

Spring is a great time for Pocket Rockets........Taurus .44 spl. Reliably rings an 8 inch steel at 50 yds. with a little practiced slow fire, though that's not what it's built for. Surprisingly accurate and well built.

Nice Taurus, Bow. My Ruger will shoot 44 mag or 44 spl. Here's my Smith family. The Shield 9mm at the bottom is my EDC in my front pocket in certain pants that happen to have big pockets. The big 9mm on top I carry at 4 o'clock in the waist band. I have a few others as well...

Bow, I am not too paranoid but most of the time hunting pigs at night I have a 10 mm, 45 super, or 460 Rowland on my hip.

I'm a Ruger fan as well K31. I really like the little SP101 with the bobbed hammer. Stainless and shoots .357 mag rounds and is built to take 'em. Close range rapid shutdown. But the Taurus turned out to be quite the surprise in the quality and function. Not what I expected from a piece from Brazil. The only Taurus I've ever owned.

I don't blame you a bit Rusty.

On a side note, those shot shells come in handy fishing in the cottonmouth hangouts around here as well. Shot a few while knee deep in the wet weed water the bass like to hang out in around here. .44 is about the right size up close

The full size 9 and the Shield have been flawless, not one FTE or FTF, ejects at 4 o'clock and no stove pipes. I shoot mostly Federal range ammo. The 22lr is at the mercy rimfire ammo which can be dicey but it's a trainer and the practice of clearing malfunctions is helpful. The big nine is rather new, maybe 300 rounds, and the trigger is getting better. Not 1911ish but for a striker fired it has a clean break and nice reset. It has the 3rd generation M&P barrel and trigger; the pre 2010 models had some accuracy issues with a slower twist barrel. The Shield is a bit small for my big hands but for a close range pistols it's decent at the range if I break the trigger right. It's had over 1000 rounds thru it. The slide has failed to lock back on the last round a couple of times but I blame that particular magazine.

I use snake shot using 44 mag capsules

Top is 6" barreled 45 super. Bottom is 10 mm with a 6" after market 10 mm barrel the right.
