I was thinking about getting a set of these. Has anyone shot these side by side comparison?

Aces, I have a multiple sets of both limbs. I much prefer the C1 limbs over the black max limbs. The C1 limbs are definitely heavier, built like a tank, very smooth drawing and whisper quiet when tuned. As such, they like some mass and weight in the riser (can be easily added with a weighty stabilizer if needed). C1 limbs require some attention to the release because they are so laterally stable. I can’t imagine twisting those limbs. The C1 limbs are also very accurate if you do your part. There really is not a lot to say about the black max limb. They are lighter, probably a bit faster pound for pound and not as smooth drawing as the C1. Both are good solid limbs. As you can tell, I much prefer the Nika limbs and they can be ordered with no graphics if you hunt or just prefer them that way. Other opinions may differ.

I've shot C1 and many wood/glass limbs similar to Black Max. I would prefer Black Max. C1 have a very soft draw, very pleasant to pull back. And they are also the slowest and quietest ILF limbs that I know of. Unless noise is the most important characteristic to you, you may also prefer a wood/glass limb like Black Max.

Don’t think you could go wrong with either. The TT were good to me and the C1 the same. As of now the best bang for the buck I think is the deerseeker carbon bamboo limbs for @179 shipped free tyd. I am inclined to believe the lower priced top archery carbon bamboo wood grain is the identical limb with a less fancy wood grain finish. These hover around $100. I have not purchased the TA ones but the DS’s are a super limb for the coin.
