Might anyone be able to give a ballpark figure as to the BH of a 69" recurve target bow 38# @ 28" Personally I would guesstimate about 8 or9"
Thanks for any information that may be provided.

~9"

Those old target bows liked the BH high.

I realize that Bowmania, I was just looking for a "Ballpark" figure. My LB likes 6and 3/8ths
my PMA likes 8 1/2. So I figured between 8 or 9 inches for starts then fine tune from there. However some think that the bow being "old" it probably likes a higher BH I was looking for knowledge not for someone to tell me the exact measurement!

Some have claimed that Wings need a higher brace height. I have owned a couple of dozen vintage target bows, three of them Wings, and they all tuned for me around 8&1/2 inches, give or take a bit. Some fellows must twang them differently from me. Some fellows seem to think Ernie Root, Earl Hoyt and Bob Lee didn't know how to make efficient bows 60 years ago. - lbg
