I like to think that he's waiting for us all, up on the Little Delta.
Happy 112th birthday to the man that showed, to so many of us, that the way home, is inward. God bless and keep his legacy for our young ones to know, as well.
My grandson, Ace River Reed, knows him on sight. Ace is 26 months old and shoots a MadDog longbow and wears plaid to do so.

Thanks, Steve. He's a fine boy and destined to be a bow-shooter. His dad, my youngest step-son, Zack, is an instinctive shooter and his uncles and other Grandpa are all wheel-bow hunters with river bottom-land, hogs, deer and turkey. He wakes up saying,"My bow", reaching for it, in the rack.
I'll film him and post it....I say "who's that?"....if he's in his hat, Fred gets recognized every time. We'll have to work on Howard Hill and Nels Grumley.
