So I am unsatisfied with the string that came with my Samick Journey and am looking for a replacement. The bow is a 64" recurve, 30 lbs @ 28". Dacron is okay as I am a recreational shooter.

Any suggestions where I can order a good Dacron string?

Thanks

As a recreational shooter you just need a basic string. No beaver balls or other string silencing adornments are necessary. They will just slow your bow. Also, D97 fast flight is fine. There is no real advantage financially going with a lower performing Dacron string. D97 is economical and performs very well.

I would suggest learning to make a Flemish twist string. It's not difficult and it sure comes in handy at times.

Addictive archery online makes a very nice custom d97 string. [email protected]$30. Personally, I will look no further. Great workmanship, halo servings cat whiskers and well waxed. After buying and trying so many different ones, I think you need to spend that for a well made string. I realize d97 is old school but it works well for me.

You should be able to buy a fine string from Lancaster or 3-Rivers. You dont need a premium custom string.

Im curious what was wrong with the string you arent happy with.
