I Remember Shiloh.....This was the last picture I took of her before the Wife and I had to let her go. I buried her under the dogwoods as this played in the background. That was back in '04. I have to turn in now, the screen is getting hard to see..........

I always feel our dogs know us better than we know ourselves. They never lie or cheat,, and love us unconditionally.

I feel what you're talking about, Bow. Shiloh was a beauty.
Near this spot
Are deposited the Remains of one
Who possessed Beauty without Vanity,
Strength without Insolence,
Courage without Ferocity,
And all the Virtues of Man without his Vices.
This Praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery
If inscribed over human ashes,
Is but a just tribute to the Memory of
BOATSWAIN, a DOG
Who was born at Newfoundland, May, 1803,
And died at Newstead, Nov 18th, 1808.

-Lord Byron
See less See more
someone once wrote that a dog teaches a boy fidelity, perseverance, and to
turn around three times before lying down.
