Just picked up a Fluflue arrow with a 3" diameter spiral fletch. I shoot 3 under and with a fixed crawl so I'm usually looking right down that arrow, with the nock not far under my eye. Result is, I'm blinded to the target by the fletching.

Anyone ever selectively trim that spiral fletch so you've got a line of sight down the arrow? I'm thinking of doing it both top and so it's a little more symmetrical for flight and I don't need to check it when nocking.

I've never done that Kanoe2, but I think your idea of symmetrical trimming will work fine.
The spiral wound flu-flus have a great amount of braking force compared to a standard 6-fletch flu-flu so with your trimming, you'll gain some distance.

I use a 3 or 6 fletch for this reason.
