I cannot see aluminum going away any time soon, although, they have dropped some of the sizes in the X7 Eclipse. I have not had any issues getting the sizes I need in XX75 Platinum Plus.

The only feedback I have heard is the new Autumn Orange is they are a light brighter than the old version.

 

Say what you wish, but it's happening now. No more xx78 Super Slams, none, no more xx75 Camo Hunters. (2117 and 1816). No, it's not happening overnight, just incrementally. I've got mine just in case.

Same alloy, different quenching treatment. They are not exactly the same and the X7 is much more expensive. X7 is designed for target shooting., too costly for hunting. XX78 were designed for hunting. My point is this, Easton has discontinued some aluminum arrows without saying they have. Replaced some-yes, expensively for archers when arrows are available, if they are available.

 

Those aluminum tubes don't grow on trees, they raise the prices for other reasons than product cost. The problem with wood arrows, THE PROBLEM WITH WOOD ARROWS, I will sleep on it, maybe i can come up with something.

 

Everything goes up quite rapidly, except my Social Security.

 

A lot of arrow sizes and models are unavailable or low on stock right now. Hunting season starts in 3-4 weeks. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Go into any outdoor store and you'll find all kinds of stuff cleaned out this time of year.

Probly 28" with 100-125 heads ,stingers, that be my guess.

It's only set up for 37lb draw, but I like it. Nice and smooth. 80% let off too. I can't pull back 63 lbs. anymore like many years ago. Arthritis and age caught up!

They are dropping the camo hunter according to one major supplier. One supplier 3Rivers has the autumn orange from 1916 up and they are just as good an arrow and 20.00 less a dozen.

I want a 1816 arrow in autumn orange!

 

All the cedar arrows are burning up in Canada.

 

You have to recognize that we're in the vast, vast minority here. A lot of those shop techs probably grew up shooting carbons. Aluminum arrows are like round wheels with 55% letoff...antiques!

I STAND CORRECTED! Try some fake or real fur around the top inside of the quiver. Styrofoam or an old piece of rag in the bottom of the quiver. Leather boot lace to act as spacers in the top edge of the quiver, stretched front to back or side to side. If that doesn't work, use a hunting hip quiver. Mine worked great to keep arrows separated. What about the flame when you are heating to glue bushings and inserts?

 

Hmmm. I wonder what squirty foam would do and how much weight it would add.

 

Hard to get same amount in each arrow,with squirty foam..can actually crack arrow as it expands..
