Somebody send me a TD3 that is untouched and I use it to do a DAS conversion video free aside from return shipping.
Need the Riser and DAS bushings and caption bolts.
Must have limb bolts installed factory OEM.

I'm working on getting stuff together to do this to my Black Panther. I have a some questions though.

1. Why did the part in the attached picture get chiseled out?

2. What kind of JB Weld works best for this?

3. Would the JB Weld used to fill the limb pocket voids be the same type used for attaching the plate to the pocket?

4. I can't find anything like your Stihl file. Would any really fine file for deburring work?

Thanks!!

Hey Hesh!👍
I chisel that out to make it easier to fit a plate but, you could just hacksaw a slot in the plate and leave it.

Use original slow cure, sets up with more adhesion strength.
Make sure and remove paint from pocket floors and rough up bottom of plates before glue up.
Any half inch wide chisel will work. Dremel tool and burr faster.
Relieve the entry 0.600 wide or 5/8's inch about 3/4 to 1 inch in length.
No need for JB to be used to fill ILF profile in limb pockets after plate installation. Bondo better option.
👍👍👍

Don't feel bad if you mess up a plate.
Most important thing is getting the ILF slot perfectly centered.

Yes limb bolt bushings. If you set them out to max would they be around 5/8?
Or just measure what is needed
Thanks
1/2 inch or so bro. If you make them too long and snug them down, could crush them and make them expand in the limb slots.
Remember to snug limbs down unstrung to just "Snug" and no more.

New question on plate being drilled and centered.
Got it. It looks a lot better. Quick question for clarity. After I find my center line, the limb bolt hole center punch is 5/8 down from the top edge? Then the other hole's center punch is 2 5/16 below that? The second hole isn't measured from the top edge, but from the first center punch, right?

"Approximately yes but, that is assuming the plate fits top and sides. Pre measure and locate the limb bolt hole anyway. Also, the centerline must be measured on the plate centerline and then be be centered in the pocket before glue up."Also, it is important to locate the limb bolt hole is so you can measure down from that.

Sam, finished up my BB warf and thanks so much for your videos on DIY and sharing your knowledge and experience.
I took my time and it turned out well. I did mine with all hand tools that I have and bought the parts off ebay per your parts list. I have it strung up with a string that came with a Galaxy Sage 62 inch and the brace Ht is 7 1/2 ( I think it may need a little more- 8 1/4 ?. Bow measures 61-1/2 at string grooves, string measures 57 1/2. I will leave it on until I can order another string. I put Sanlida Miracle X9 short 40's on it and on my scale it is 46 lbs. I have the limbs down as far as they can go. I made the bushings 9/16 for the limb bolts. I am pretty sure I will be looking for lower wt limb as the 46 lb is to much for me at this time. I have not shot it yet as I stepped in hole and pulled my hip out this last week and laying around to heal up. If anythings stands out that looks off please don't hesitate to comment.
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
