I recently got a LH Bodnik Slick Stick, 58” [email protected]”.
I usually use a Bogar Assyrian bow, 36 lb, but I just had to try a longbow.
At first, I tried using as Longbow’s are usually used, arrow on the opposite side, med draw, corner of the mouth anchor. I quickly found I did not care for it and resolved to sell or trade it for another Horsebow.
Today however, I thought to try using it like a horsebow, which is the way I find most natural and relaxing.
Draw with the right hand, Arrow on the same side, thumb draw, semi floating anchor at the back of the ear, and was quite surprised at how nicely this bow was to use.
Overall, the bow does not appear to be anything special, but I’ve heard lots of praise for the Slick Stick, and I’m pleasantly surprised that it’s even a bit fun.
