For those of you that has shot or owned both, what difference did you see between them? Worth the extra $$$$? $220 vs $400, unless I can find a used set.
Noise, feel, vibrations, and speed.....
I hate to admit it, but the regular Black Max limbs are some of my favorite limbs to shoot, period. I would not pay the extra $ for the carbon version. But that's just me. I have premium carbon limbs for my competition bows already.
I had the BM Carbons and now have the BM Carbon Extremes. The Extremes are slightly faster and have a slightly different sound when shot (seems a little higher pitched to my ears). Really, not worth the extra money as I do not find myself shooting any better with the Extremes over the Carbons.
I have all three - glass, carbon and extremes. When i first got the extremes i thought that i could notice an improvement but with the passage of time i believe i like the glass limbs just as good if not better. This is all subjective as i have not done any testing, however.
.
I've owned the BM wood/glass, the BM wood/carbons, the BM Carbon Extreme's and the Extreme BF's. I now only have the BM Carbon Extreme's. They're everything I wanted in a hunting limb. I like the "feel" of them thru the draw cycle, they're quiet, and plenty quick.
All are good limbs, and you can't go wrong with any of them.
