I was going to introduce a young man to archery today.
I received a phone call as I was loading the truck and I ended up leaving without my bow.
I then got a text from the guy that he got called in to work.
The bow I put together for him is a black bear riser with a set of BF extremes mediums.
My friends were ready to shoot the course when I arrived and so I had no choice but to shoot the bow myself.
No tuning, just found a string that fit.
I had one of my best days on the course in a long time. Just couldn't miss. It left me wondering why I shoot any other rig.
What a pleasure to shoot.
I own quite a few sets of high end limbs and years back these were among the highly desired limbs.
A friend of mine sold his cause he thought they were a bit sluggish. (big hook Border fan)
I have a pair of the white targets that I got on sale, painted up and on my go-to hunting bow that I have no idea what I would replace them with. Good limbs.
I have two sets of the Samick Extremes, white color, one set of Shorts that I bought from Jim Casto, and a set of Mediums ... These have been my #1 limbs for years, and I often wonder what limbs I would replace them with when they break...I can say that the Shorts are extremely fast for a conventional limb design, and shoot very well on any riser that I've mounted them on...From 19" to 27"..I'd like to find a set of these Samicks in 36# Longs to put on a 19" riser or Warf riser... Samick is making good limbs again, I've shot the top of the line limbs that PSE Archery is selling that Samick is making for PSE, they are excellent....
