About six weeks ago I was lent a 1971 Bear Grizzly 70lb @28.
My main aim was to simply use it for strengthening exercise, but with no actual shooting so as not to damage anything,,,on or in me.
I normally shoot 45lb from both my Recurve and longbow and I wanted to get to a place I truly had total physical dominance over the bow.

I started up drawing and holding for a very short time before easing back down.
From six to around a dozen times a day.
After a week of this I went to holding for set periods of time and slowly increased the hold time over the next few weeks to twenty seconds without a shake.

Then I couldn't help myself and took one shot .

Fastest addicting drug in the world.

With a relatively light Radiata pine arrow it was like stepping from a four cylinder car into an old school American V8,,,Power,,Oh Yeah !

And accurate,,like this:shooting:

My regular recurve and longbow are now much easier to shoot with total focus on the job at hand, and with zero effort lost on weight control.

Now I just have to figure out how to buy this Grizzly.

:thankyou:
John.

Try hex 6 limbs that are pulling 62# on my 15" riser and your talking dragster with 550 grain arrows. Yeah its addicting.
