Has anyone shot or does own the Bear Au Sable? I’m considering purchasing one blindly and would like some feedback on them before maybe making a final decision.

I shot one several years ago, having mostly only shot recurve. It had a lot more handshock than what I expected, so I would reccomend trying one first
I was concerned about that. I’ve generally used recurves and shot some longbow on and off. Unfortunately I have to buy all of my bows in the blind because no dealers around me carry any trad bows worth looking at.

I have shoot the Bear AuSable longbow. I really like the 64" vs 62". The bow is smooth drawing and has a very good cast. No, hand shock. I Have shot 40 to 50# at 28" and have draw them back to 30# and they are all smooth. They are pricey at 600.00. New custom bows start at 650.00 the only difference is I get to pick the wood and glass. If I could find a use one I would buy it. They are rare in the used market.
