I've just acquired a set of arrows made by the 19th century English arrow maker Harry Purle. I'm guessing the arrows were made around 1890 -1900. The set comes complete with 3 extra piles wrapped in waxed brown paper.
Now .. I'd like to have some reproductions made of the piles to match some of my 19th century longbows. All the tapers are straight and simple. to me it seems a perfect job for a CNC lathe.
So I was just wondering if any members had access to a CNC lathe and fancied having a go at making some reproductions of a genuine Victorian pile.
