Wife was in town and the youngest (5yo) was watching TV. Asked if she wanted to shoot some arrows.


Well we get out by the target and she keeps grabbing the arrow to nock it on the string backwards. I tell her to grab the arrow by the feathers like a magic wand AKA Harry Potter. So she starts doing it that way and then says

"ABRACADABRA into the target" before she or I shoot an arrow.

Works for me :)

Jo Rowling gets a lot of credit for getting kids to read, now she has them enjoying archery too ;-)

My wife said "here goes nothing" before a shot one time and missed the target. To this day my son gets a smile on his face on his first arrow and says here goes nothing. :lol:
