You guys are the best.
You've taught me tons the last couple-3-4 years on bows.
Lately I cried because "I can't do feathers" so a couple of you sent me JIGs.
Thanks a ton.
Bought a ton of arrows the last few years from you guys, used, cast-offs.
Some with bad feathers, some with vanes.
I got these Beman ICS Energy 460s 3-4 years ago...from Biblethumpncop.
HAD vanes, so this morning I scraped off the vanes off one shaft.
Scrubbed it some more with a razor blade.
Sanded the area.
Cleaned it all off with rubbing alcohol.
Took some Gorilla Glue & used Dave Holquist's BITz jig & affixed me first fedders.
See pic.
Will go ahead and do 12 of these, and stick them in the "arrow bucket".
Yeh, doon these in the new dining room area, whilst me little wife is at work.
It makes a great WORK AREA.
Careful planning.

Good work Sir!!! I am thinking about getting a jig, I had a gentleman who did all of mine all of my life... alas I no longer live in rural Nebraska and need to become more self sufficient!

Have a great day,
Kasey

Sweet color combo, Detroit Red Wings colors.:)

If you get real feathers fresh off the turkey or goose you literally burn them to shape with an iron type contraption. I've never done it but it's not sumthing I'd do in the house relaxing in front of the TV.

Steve, you can only burn them after they are glues to a shaft. You need to get a feather burner
