I went to a shoot today that was a little different. The club (Joliet Archery Club in Illinois) called it an Ironman Shoot, and it consisted of a 1/2 field round, a 20-target 3D course, and a 1/3 American round (10 arrows each at 60, 50, & 40 yards). It was up to the archer to choose which order to shoot the three disciplines. I think it's a great idea.

That does sound fun. I wonder if it would be feasible to have a 3-bow shoot (like a 3-gun shoot) consisting of a trad bow (recurve or longbow), compound, and perhaps crossbow.

Sounds like fun! I did something foolish like that a year before last. Shot a full American round, 3D and field round on one Saturday during the Sooner State Games. Started off at 9;00 AM and finished at 5:00 PM. I'll never do that again despite I came home with some pewter trinkets.
