there can be many subtle variables yet it is such a simple thing to do

watch as many videos as you can -
there are many good ones out there

 

I am by no means a god string maker but I’m practicing. Yes that probably means that you didn’t put enough back twists in and it’s cabling

 

After you make your first loop and end, before your back twist, make sure you get any twist out of the individual stands, and try to keep from twist them as you put in back twist… that will solve your issue

 

Second go around went way better
