I found a Bear Polar LTD bow at my local antique mall. Can it be warfed easily?

I tried getting in touch with Loc, but he’s taking a break during this COVID thing. I have a Pearson I’d like to have machined and he’s the best. Anyone else out there doing like he does? Thanks in advance for the knowledge!

Hey guys, I have an old Hoyt Legacy alloy riser compound bow from the eighties and I'm trying to find out if it can be made into a warf bow. Anyone worked on one of those risers?

Hey guys! New to this site! But it’s been very interesting! I really like the idea of Warfing a bow, but I really like the look and style of the Martin sabre and jaguar. Does anyone have any suggestions on what bows I could take the rise from to create a bow that works and looks like this...

Like the title says, looking to put some recurve limbs on this bow. When I got it the tension cables had been cut. The cams are still in working order but with no way to salvage the compound nature of it I figured i would try and turn it into a recurve.

Is it worth turning a reflexed compound riser ILF? You don't see many, is there a good reason for this?

Hello all. I was talking to a guy I know on another hunting forum and was telling him the story of how I wanted to get into traditional archery hunting. I had shot years and years ago with an old fiberglass long bow. All of my experience since 84 has been compound shooting. That is part A of...

Hello, I am new to this site, but not new to traditional archery. However, I happen to have my first ever bow / riser that I want to WARF. I believe it has a 19 degree pocket angle, riser OAL is 21.75". Any of you with experience in this area, please let me know what weight / length limbs I...

Want to warf this riser I got. I think I need the plates that Mann makes our the shorter ones from Lancaster. I saw some on ebay but haven't seen them in a while. I also need the bolt hardware. Any suggestion on where to get this stuff. Does Steve Mann post here anymore? I am planning on...

Which one would be better for warfing? I have to get my draw length checked(I thought I knew). I doubt it's more than 27.5 or so.

Hi has anyone tried Samick Sage limbs on a Pronghorn Hunter? Jonhdo says it's a simple bolt on, it only needs 0.060" spacers on each side to center the limbs. Any info on string length, brace height and how much the weight changed would be appreciated. Are there other limbs that worked well...

Long story short, I have a '92 Pittsley Predator. It's beat up but I love the grip. The limbs are twisted bad and you can't use the predator limbs from the distributors. I'm loving my 15" ILF riser as well as the general concept of interchangeable limbs. There simply isn't enough meat on the...

Or trying to weasel free advice as a new member.;) Hello all. I was fiddling with an old recurve that I used to shoot. Got me thinking that I should take up a single string again. But not wanting to switch just cold turkey, I figure a warf will still allow me to have some steel in hand during...

I was given an old school compound bow and I wanna make it a recurve. Stripping it down to the frame and I obviously need recurve limbs. Never done this before. Just kinda diving in. Any advice is welcome

At a garage sale in upstate NY last week wife got a box of stuff and a lamp for $5 and they threw in a Bear Grizzly from early 60's and a Martin / Howatt Warthog. Label on the site fixture says Martin Archery, has a model number 2430 and a serial number, but has no other stickers on it so after...

For the last few days I could not post any picture no matter what size. I got a message saying '... exceed limit...'. So, I deleted some older pictures from my threads to gain more rooms but still have same problem. Finally, I found out that my patron membership expired. After I renewed it...

brand new to the warfing craze..Appreciate all the posts on which risers to select for your project - since I'm a lefty, sometimes the "pickins" are slim.. Has anybody had any success with the Proline Cyclone II riser? Thanks

Well, I am about the embark on my first Warfing project thinks to Steve Long, who sent me this left handed wood riser from an old Indian compound bow. He also sent me a link to a ebay sight where I was able to get some nice wood riser ILF plates. The problem is how to attach them. My preference...

I have a 1985 bear alaskan. What little info I have found out about it, the hardwood maple riser may have been designed by Bill Stewart. I was wondering if anyone out there have seen one converted or knows if this riser would be a good conversion. I will post pics. Any feedback would be...
