Anyone ever use a piece of colored tape on the arrow near the tip that lines up with the rest at full draw? Kind of A visual draw check? Just thinking for some practice sessions or leave on one arrow in a set to just verify form.

As an experiment, can you make a DIY bow out of a few fiberglass rebars and some duct tape in 5 minutes? Yes, you can! And it is awesome! You can shoot it at the shooting range or even go hunting! An easy project for fans of archery and DIY. Don't forget about safety measures though.

Just to be clear this isn't about the glue vs tape controversy. I'm doing some testing and I wanted to make up a few arrows with Spin Wings. I had never used them before, so I went with what came in the package, and followed the instructions. Whatever. I do see though that with Spin Wings or...

I have two recurves with high wrist grips, my hand tends to slip on them especially on a hunt with gloves on, last night I wrapped one with athletic tape and then served it with 500 lb rope works ok, should have taken a pic. rope is 1/8" diameter what does everyone do to their grips for...

Bow: 21" Hoyt excel with great tree 50lb limbs I didn't like the look of the dark wood limbs on my blackout riser. So I got some camo gorilla duct tape and laid it down onto to backing of my limbs. Was just wondering if this will affect the performance of my bow at all.

I'm watching a You tube video on installing Feathers using a Bitzenburger jig, just like the one I just ordered. What are your thoughts on Fletching tape (double sided) Vs. Fletching Glue? If you prefer glue, what kind is the best?

Hi, I'm considering cresting my next set of arrows using a homemade jig using a dremel. Seems simple enough. Does fletching tape hurt the paint upon removal? I don't want to glue over the paint because if I need to switch out feathers I'll jack my paint up. Also, does fletching tape adhere...

Wanted to offer a tip to those who use fletching tape or those considering trying it. I've found that the only sometimes tricky part of the process is getting the underside strip away from the sticky part once the feather is in the clamp and about to be placed down on the shaft. The very...

This may not be new to people on here but I came across this little gem of an idea while trying to get my ILF hunting bow quiet. I was hearing that tinny sound every time I shot my ILF rig and I hear the same sound on almost all the ILF bows. I took the limb bolt out and removed the bushing then...

I picked up 3 recurves from a estate this week, after close inspection 2 are bear grizzly's from the 60's the third wasn't recognizable. someone covered them in duck tape from tip to tip and many years later peeled it off. I am left with the dry duct tape residue. I tried many solutions wd40...

I've always used glues, most recently Fletch-tite. I'd like to try tape for fletching. I'm using feathers off the shelf. Anything that I should know? Tricks and or suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Bob

I use fletching tape with feathers and carbon arrows with goods results. Do you get good results with fletching tape on aluminum shafts? Thanks, Max

Has anyone else tried making spiral fluflus on a carbon arrow with a wrap and fletching tape. I have made a few now and they work fine except the thicker end of the feather shaft has a tendency to come unstuck and pop up. I have tried gorrila glue and finally taped them down with electricians...

In this lovely Yukon Spring, I have been shooting outside (briefly) at -20C. A few times I have lost fletching in mid-flight and on impact with a straw bale. The fletching tape adhesive appears to freeze and lose it's tackiness. Once it warms up again, I just stick it back on the arrow and it...

I am just beating the crap out of my nose when I shoot. Ever since I changed my hand position I have not been able to get my nose out of the way. I know the issue is my head turning...I am working on that. What I need, as a remedial measure, is a better way to pad my nose. I have tried all forms...
