Aloha All, Looking to get some sage advice. For some background I come from a compound bow so I am used to being able to aim at a quarter at 20 yrds. I have been dedicating myself to traditional archery for about 6 months and only in the last month have finally found an anchor point and...

Heres a question on aim and back tension. Draw, come in to anchor, then aim, then pull through and release. If i have that stop start separation from aim to then expansion and release it is tougher to get through the clicker. Or how i find better back tension, draw to anchor, as i anchor i slow...

I see it all the time in videos and feel it in my shooting. You draw back and your limbs are moving side to side.HOW to stop this? 1. you either grip your bow tighter.(not best idea) 2. add weight to riser-which I don't want. 3.maybe a v bar with short side rods?-thinking of trying. 4.remove grip...

I am going to put a rubber stall mat behind my targets. I am only going to hook it at the top and let it hang. Will that damage my arrows when I hit it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve been fighting what I knew was a weak spine for a few weeks. I just did not want to shorten my arrows.i tried lighter point weight and was still off. Today I started dropping a 1/4 inch at a time. Ended up taking 1 inch off and got the bare shaft shooting well. I don’t know if it’s the...

This may have been discussed before but with several bowyers on this forum I’m looking for the definitive answer. What is supposed to be the limb stop (place of contact when the limb is slid onto the riser) on an ILF, the limb adjustment bolt/limb fork or the ILF bushing/dovetail? I have 2...

Just Readng the "Reference guide for Recurve Archers". The author has a very strong view that The archer should not Aim or Stop Pulling. Please explain to me how in the world do you maintain the pulling movement without aiming or holding? Thanks Soon to be recovering TP archer. Dan

Stop for just a moment today, regardless of your faith and belief, and remember all those that died 11 years ago today. And those that fought somhard to save as many as they could.

I've been doing some negative pull ups since I could only do 2 proper pull ups and it help. However, I didn't rely so much on them so I also struggled with normal pull ups. Luckily, now I can almost do 5 proper pull ups and those negatives seem much easier so I try various things with them (e.i...

There is a live band playing nothing but Beatle songs in my neighborhood this afternoon. I am sorry, but covering Beatle songs is just too big of a challenge for most bands. I would go out and shoot but that band is making me want to cry. Oh...no....they just went into a rendition of While My...

In the past if shooting a wheel bow I would stop deer before shooting but, if I was shooting a recurve I would just swing with the deer and shoot them while walking. I have a much more deliberate shooting style now than I did in the past - I am tempted to draw the bow find my sight picture stop...

...until the rut starts. This will give my area time to cool down a bit. Still gonna shoot at the tree rats in the back yard though. If I don't get one this year with the recurve, I'm gonna set up the compound for next year. I will also have access to public land next year. Gonna get super high...

I stopped by a new (to me) bow pro shop yesterday to check out his selection of Trad equipment. He had the usual nothing for Trad shooters.... At any rate, he is a PSE dealer and he was trying to impress me with his newest whiz bang 350FPS AMO std. jet black hubcab sized dual cam bow. I...

Sam sent me this rod and bumper and I got it today; thanks Sam! I put it on my Hoyt Gamegetter warf riser and I can really tell it's there. It makes the shot quieter and much less harsh. This has got to help if a dry fire happens. A great addition to my huntin' bow and looks cool too. Bill
