Just noticed that one of my recurve limbs have a nasty crack (!) They are long limbs which on a 25” riser would make a 70” Olympic bow. But I have been shooting them on a 19” riser. Should those long limbs be able to cope with being on a smaller riser? They are 40lbs @ 28” but weighed wotf...

Greetings... I have a set of Hoyt Gold Medalist, Carbon plus short ILF limbs [email protected] I want to try them on a 25" riser, what poundage should I expect at a 26" draw length, and what is the average weight per inch of DL? Thanks!

Hi guys, I fancy putting my long Wiawis limbs onto my 19” Border Tempest. I understand the gain in weight when moving a limb from a 25” riser to a shorter 19” riser but are there any other considerations? For the same archer (therefore same arrow/draw length), do the limbs have to bend more...

I have a couple warfed hoyt spectra risers I really enjoy. I find them very smooth with long and even medium limbs at my 32" AMO draw. I am wanting to have one done for my fiancé. She likes the grip and feel of that riser, but her draw length is much shorter (27" AMO). She has shot my riser a...

Was wondering if there are any warf candidates in the 15-19" range. I like an overall length of 60" and like the idea of using old compound risers. I thank you for any help you can provide. Thx for you time, guys.

I have a pair of short TT back max in 45#@28" on a 17" riser. When i had them on a 21" hoyt excel i got an expected 40lb at my 27"DL. When i put them on a 17" riser i was getting 44lbs. My goal was to have my draw weight somewhere between 45-49lbs. So i got a 13" riser (VPA vapor) and now these...

Depending on where you read on the internet, one gets different answers to how long to make a string. Some people say 3" shorter than the bow length, and others say 4". Then you read places that the 4" is for longbows, and the 3" is for recurves. So one of the guys I work with has an old...

I love my Hoyt Dorado with TT Black Max carbon wood limbs. It's 64" length is longer than I like for some tight hunting locations. Is their a similar, shorter riser available. The grip on my Dorado is my preference.

I just bought a 25" Spig BB riser and 40# med Winex limbs. This makes a 68" bow... as it turns out my high anchor and face structure won't let me get the arrow under my eye due to the string angle. What would be a good 62" - 64" 3D target type bow? I won't be putting stabs or sights on it...

I'm shooting medium limbs on a 19" riser for hunting. For 3d I'm shooting mediums and longs on a 25" riser. I have a 29.75" draw length and looking for limbs to mount on a 25" riser for hunting. Can I run shorts or will they stack?

I'm excited. You guys mostly know that I have mostly ran long limbs. Lately I got a wild hair to try several sets of short limbs on my scurvey Dalaa. 58" AMO bow........some stacked. My Win & Win Everest Pro shorts DO NOT stack at my 28.5" DL, bolts out 1 turn. NICE. I posted up a month ago - my...

Getting perilously close to buying a pair of Uukha HX 10's. However, they will be going on a 23" riser, and Uukha rates their limb poundage @ 25" riser. Do they follow the standard rule of thumb of +1# for each inch shorter, or is the allowance different because of their monolithic...

Hey all, If I am not able to find an Excel I am not opposed to getting another WARF riser. I got back into TRAD shooting by buying a ProLine WARF done by Bob Gordon many years ago. I think it was just at 21 inches long and made total bow length of about 62 inches with my SHORT limbs. I think...

I've a general question about gap shooting; I shoot (or more accurately I'm trying to shoot) three fingers under. Am I better off with properly tuned shorter arrows or properly tuned longer arrows? The reason I ask is that 27.75" 15-35's with a 140 grain point and a 50 grain insert (420 grains...
  18. Dryad Bows
Hello Dryad. I have a 64" Oracle that is just a little long for South Texas brush popping. I would like to go down to something 58" in an ILF recurve. My draw is just over 28" and would like something rated 55lbs @ 28". Which riser length limb combo do you recommend? Thank You, Hammerhead
