I have a serving spool that has a flange broken, and a spool of .018 Dyneema that I want to use to serve some strings. With that in mind I need a couple of spools to transfer thread to. Does anyone know off hand the width of the spools that fit in the serving jigs? Or, maybe someone has a few...

Note the updated WA Target Barebow rule, published on 1 October... "It is now mandatory that the end (practically, the top) of the centre serving cannot end in the field of vision of the archer at full draw, preventing it from being used as an aiming aid." If so, how far above string center would be a good termination? Normally do 4" above center. Shoulder still won't let me reach full draw so I can't measure here...

I'm starting to look into fletching my own arrows, and I think I have a good enough handle on the basics of that to pick up a jig and start making mistakes. One thing I don't get though, is the relationship between nocks and center serving diameter. I've tried searching, but can't seem to...

What do you guys use? If my nocks are to loose I use dental floss but it doesn't last to long before it gets frizzy.

When you apply a center serving to a continuous loop string, and you know you will be twisting the string, do you twist the string before doing the center serving? Or do you apply the center serving to the untwisted string and twist the string afterwards? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
