I had ordered a Quinn 3DXL in 66" a number of years ago, and posted about it. I hardly ever see anyone post about the Quinn bows anymore. Once David and Peggy passed away, it seems the interest faded away. I'd love to find one again. More Nostalgic than anything else I imagine, but I wish I...

Hey Guys, I've had my Quinn for a while (bought new around 8 years ago) and painted the limbs. It is a Quinn Comet XL 3D. Problem is, I can't remember if it is the 64" or 66" model, and the limbs markings etc are gone due to painting. I measured the string under tension at 61 and 1/4" and my...

Just got one and wanted a tree stand Bow. So,,looked at it,,too much preload. Stuck it in the mill and changed the Geometry by several degree's, milled the pockets down for more angle and shortened the length by two inches. Milled dovetails and now I have a cool short ILF riser. Will take pics...

I posted this already over at the other forum with no luck. I'm hoping maybe someone here has tried this before I spend the money to find out it doesn't work. The Quinn Comet XL was fire engine red and had a few dings, so it was due for a refresh. I tried a few different things. I wire-wheeled it down to bare metal, then hit it with the acetone, then self-etching primer, three coats. Flat black, then some spray-on sharkskin from Goop,(worked great)...
