Hello all. Loving my DAS 17" with standard DAS longbow limbs. Very forgiving bow. Have a Mountain Muffler string on it. Shoots awesome. Just curious if any that have hunted with this set up and have put anything on limbs or inside the ILF pocket to quiet their rigs or any other suggestions...

Although I have been quiet on the boards, my journey with the Gao Ying method of Military Chinese Archery continues. It has now infected my all of my styles of Archery. I have been shooting my 72" flatbow more and can't help but realize, my technique has an Oriental flavor to it! Sent from...

Hi, I bought a cobra over a couple of months. I like the riser a lot, but it makes a lot of noise on release. It sounds like the limbs hit the riser. Can anyone help me with this? I have read about velcro in the limb pociets, but I don 't know if this WA legal in barebow? Verstuurd vanaf...

Things are pretty quiet here regarding Border bows. I guess most everyone is waiting to see if they get emails from Ann next week with updated bow delivery info.... I was told week 29 (July 17) when I sent the check and confirmed the order, but I expect an email a week or two after that.

A warning that shouldn't need telling,, but I really messed up yesterday. I spent a few hours practicing with my longbow then got called away by the phone for about 15 minutes. Well, I lent the bow up right against own horse float/trailer, not thinking about how it is dark blue and can get...

A while back I posted on trying to quiet my warf down. I rock a fixed crawl an it was just loud. I tried brace heights between 7 1/5-9, tiller, adjustments, nocking point adjustments, and it was just loud. Well today I built a new string for it that turned out a little short and braced right at...

Ok, I am curious to find out what you guys use to silence your take down recurves. I am assuming that between the riser and the limb all three would work with different results, but on the top and bottom, between the string and limb, only fabric would do. What type of fabric do you use, would...

Just wanted to say how much I appreciate my DAS Gen2. I've had about 6 different sets of limbs on it over the past 5 years. I've shot flipper rests and off the shelf. Everything I put on it shoots great. Tuning is a breeze. Recently I aquired a Best Moon riser. Moved my Hex5's from the DAS...

I don't like to buy hunting outer wear with any insulation because I layer and want maximum flexibility. I am having trouble finding a very thin, quiet, set of outer wear that is waterproof and breathable (goretex or similar membrane). Just a nice shell. All I usually find are jackets/pants...

Went to our 3D course this morning, our 1st target is a Black Bear on all fours at about 32 yds. . I noticed a small heard of Red Deer about 15 yds from the target (above and in line with the target). Shot 6 Arrows all arrows were shot whilst the deer were there they did not move a mussel so I...

I've been shooting off the shelf with a rug-style rest (shelf) and felt pads (strike plate) on my Hoyt Game Master 2, and its quiet on the draw and no obvious sound when releasing an arrow. Most of the members in my club are Olympic-style shooters and when they draw back their arrows, I hear a...

Not wanting to hijack Beleg's 8190 thread where it was mentioned that D97 made for a noisy string, I am curious as to what you consider the quietest material and how you arrived at your conclusion. Thanks...Rob

I've owned this Custom 64"/37# Bushmen R/D Hybrid Longbow for about 2 1/2 years now and always fought the tinny sound it made at-the-shot....almost as though the shafts were clashing the riser (but they weren't) and sounded like a 3 iron striking a golf ball...others who've owned similar...
