Hi, I have a 35# Samick Sage which I’ve owned for 4 months. Shoot split finger, 8” brace height and nocking point bare shaft tuned to 3/8”. This week the bow has started making a pop/snap noise once the bow is strung and the the bow is shot for the first time. The string is a fast flight Flemish...

Here's a question for anyone who's done a Black Bear/Sage conversion. Do you put anything solid over the floor of the limb pockets to better support the Sage limbs, or is the Black Bear limb pocket structure sufficient? Also, same question for a Hoyt Spectra riser.

Hello, I am new to this site, but not new to traditional archery. However, I happen to have my first ever bow / riser that I want to WARF. I believe it has a 19 degree pocket angle, riser OAL is 21.75". Any of you with experience in this area, please let me know what weight / length limbs I...

I have a love for the Proline profile, and my first bow was a Proline Force II Magnum in 1982. My first warfed bow was naturally, a Proline. I have a 31" draw though, and have put up with the "stack". Do I need to? Has anyone changed the limb pocket angle before? I have a set of the...

Sorry but I just had to post one more knife picture. The coolest thing happened at my forge today. Sometimes inspiration is just dumb luck!! I forged up another style blacksmith style blade and added a Kydex blade cover to make it into a neck knife. While taking some pictures of the blade, it...

Sorry about all the recent knife posts...But this is just to cool for me! I always donate a knife or two for the ST Judes Auction on Trad Gang. This years ST Judes Auction has been real an eye opener for me. I have been playing around trying to make a style of Lin Rhea's Blacksmith Knife...

My thinking is that if I'm going to create an ILF riser I want the pocket adjustable. Another thing I found is that if you make it adjustable it helps cover a lot of minor issues during the modification process. Things don't have to be perfectly straight or centered exactly because when you are...

Just curious, in all the old compound risers that have been discussed, are there any with 1 1/2" wide limb pockets? Most are 1 5/8.

Ruger LCP....6+1 .380...small as the dickens...slick as a whistle...a little over 11onces (fully loaded)...Hogue saddle grip....comfortable enough to enjoyably pump several boxes through it in one session and did I mention small? than small...more like?... "tiny" far smaller...

I've always used bow quivers and I really like it on my recurve. But I like to be able to shoot my longbow without a quiver attached to it. I hunt regularly year around so ability to carry two blade broadheads would be great. Does anyone use pocket quiver for hunting? Any recommendation or...

I was looking at 15" metal riser and saw that Morrison changes the limb pocket angle based upon riser length. Does any other maker do this? Is it done to keep draw weights the same for a set of limbs regardless of riser length?
