Just got back from CTAS with my son. HAd a great time, shot a lot.
Met Jason, Wingnut, John, Henry and Connie from Dryad,
Henry has one mean take down bow. It really spits an arrow out fast.
My son was stoked, He had me shoot a couple of the ranges after I was ready to stop with sore feet...
I just discovered the Tradtalk blogs. Check this out from Papa Bull. It should be required reading.

So I got a hold of the great folks at onestringer and they came up with these wraps.
I'm gluing feathers this morning and will take a pic of the finished product later.

(Before you ask what for, lets just say that Santa has a sweet tooth!!!)
I've had a few folks working overtime telling people what I say and what I believe and what my agenda is, etc. etc. Politics as usual. So, just for the record, I thought I'd put my beliefs up... well, just for the record. If you want to know what I believe, here it is...
Dummy of the day award goes to me. My 7 year old grandson Luke and I went to a local 3d today. Got thru signup and the 50-50 tickets fine and started to target one. It was then that I found that my camera was not with me. Well his first arrow hit foam and the memory will have to be burned in my...
This knife has got me down. I just knew it could not be as good as it seemed.
I mean, I've only cleaned, skinned and/or deboned 5 animals. Oh sure, it's mirror finish is still as bright as ever and I admit it's been the easiest knife to clean that I've ever owned.
And OK - yes I admit it...
I've read lots of Papa's threads on poor shooting during hunting season. They were easy to agree with. Up until this year, I've had a pretty flawless trad record. But this year changed everything. Maybe I was getting a little too confident, maybe I made too many equip changes and maybe...
I caped, skinned and quartered my first deer with this gorgeous functional blade Robert made me, this weekend. I hacked, scraped and skinned and generally gave it the rough use to be expected from an amateur butcher.
After I cleaned the knife (very easy job thanks to Robert's design and...
Guys,
I just got a call from Tammy Williams, Roberts wife. Robert had a heart attack and underwent surgery today to clear a blocked artery. :( The good news is that he is doing well and should be able to leave the hospital this weekend.
His first concern was that we all watch the...
sent a check two months ago for a quinn stallion. found out yesterday papa bull ordered the bow for me before he even got the check. so i would get it sooner. kinda nice to be trusted for a change. made my day. thanks P.B.
Papabull, don't you ever get tired of being right? After struggling with getting my 60# Timberhawk recurve to shoot my 2018 decently for the past year and after hearing Papabull talk about elevated rests being the way to go, I gave it a try. I took the shelf material and sideplate off the bow...
I finally took Roberts advice and downloaded Mozilla. Early indication is that I shouldn't have waited!
So, Robert, this horse is finally drinking. Thanks for leading. :)
There has been some demand for photo's of Papa Bull doing his 'puter work, so I have dug into my archives in an effort to be responsive. Hope you don't mind, Papa Bull.
