This afternoon I had the pleasure of reassembling my bow after finishing my DIY camo job.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Initially my plan was to do a spray can hydro dip, but when it came to setting up and a test on an unimportant trinket, I couldn't figure out how to...
Anyone object to the idea of laying down plasti dip first then spray painting your favorite camo pattern on? Then all you have to do is peel it off. Instead of sanding then painting or just painting and it you want to take it off you have to use nail polish remover, denatured alcohol etc to get...
I am getting a pair of 7.5 limbs that have some of the finish peeling off. I am a bow hunter so I am just going to camo paint them. Anything special I have to take into consideration when painting a set of Broder limbs?
I thought about having them dipped but because the limbs finish is peeling...
Am nearing completion of a bow. I'd like to paint Native American graphic design on the back, similar to .....
Limbs are backed with linen.
I'm a inept artist. So need help w/ tips/tools/technique of how to reliably make this happen.
Looking forward to your inputs.
I used a Shakespeare Necedah.
First I cut out stencils;
Then I did an undercoat in camo tan
I used a spray adhesive on the back of the stencils, just a light coat.
Then I applied them to the bow.
Next I sprayed the topcoat of slate black.

I decided to refinish my 21" excel, stripping off all the paint was easy with CITRISTIP and probably my first mistake. Now nice and clean, I wiped it down with acetone wearing vinyl gloves, the applied DUPLICOLOR acid etching primer, let dry per directions, then topcoat color and let dry. Looked...
I got the bb riser from Sam and I love the way it shoots. I just got the little axiom medium limbs for it. they are mostly white with some silver and black mixed in. I'm gonna camo em up but not sure what the best way to go about it is. Does the limb need sanding or whats the process you guys...
Looking at some axiom limbs to add to proline riser. Great price and good reviews. Problem with the limbs is there is some white on them and i want to hunt with them. Can these be painted ( black).....? I could spend the extra $50 and get T.T. black max limbs but money is very tight right now(...
Not sure if it was on this site or another but; are there any special tricks to painting carbon arrows? Just looking to dress up the black arrows a bit and make them a wee bit easier to spot and not lose.
I've got a Das riser coming for my latest bow project. I was hoping for Lost Camo, but turns out it is Nat Gear. Can't handle that pattern. So I did some research, and bedliner paint was all I could come up with. So I did some more digging, and I came up with Krylon Fusion spray paint. It says...
Would like to ask your experinces painting carbon arrows. Mine are black or otherwise dark and noticed taht especially in olw light it is hard to see the line of arrow in so called secondary vision. Would like to try some light grey paint or so, but not sure how it stays on carbon?
I have several sets of limbs that I want to spray paint. I thought I would wipe limbs with alcohol and buy some spray paint rust O. or whatever I can find. I read others have done this what kind of paint should I use.
I read in another post about new W&W dark lims.
I alway tought ILF limbs were paint silver to avoid overheating in summer.
Also saw many hunting bows with black limbs.
Are black paint on limbs dangerous to its integrity?
